Nascut a Barcelona l’ any 1958, Daniel Boada, va estar vinculat de ben jove al món de l’ il•lustració i el cómic fins que el 1998 crea l’exitosa sèrie de tires còmiques “Granotes i cuques” que diàriament acompanya als lectors del diari AVUI. Des del moment de la seva aparició les sorprenents aventures d’aquests batracis ingenus i alhora neuròtics s’han anat enriquint amb la incorporació de nous personatges com la malcarada granota autòctona del desert, autèntic revulsiu per als habitants del bassal.
